Introducing the judges for the competition: The first judge was King of All Blacks, who asked how Howard got so thin and laughed when he responded he ate the exact opposite way King did. The author, Bintell Powell, who was on the show earlier this year to discuss how he thought light-skinned black people were prejudiced against dark-skinned black people, was the next judge, and he admitted the darkness of the contestants’ skin would play a part in his decision. Following an argument between King, who said he preferred light-skinned black woman, and Bintell on the subject of skin tone, Howard brought the first contestant, Xica, into the studio.
